Outdoor Council of Canada Field Leader (Hiking) Course
Step into leadership in the outdoors. This nationally recognized Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) certification equips you with the skills and confidence to lead safe, engaging one-day hiking experiences in low-risk, three-season terrain. Recognized by Parks Canada for group management requirements.

Join us for a hands-on session of compass navigation that will have you feeling like a true explorer.
Our expert instructors will cover:
– basics of compass use
– how to find directions
– how to take a bearing
– how to orient yourself in any environment

Magical Snowshoe Tour
Enjoy a magical snowshoe trek through a winter wonderland in the Canadian Rockies. We will wander down peaceful glades, take in the views of the mountain peaks and immense Columbia River valley and wetlands, enjoy locally-sourced homemade treats and hot chocolate/herbal tea, and open our senses to the natural world.
We will watch for signs of the incredible variety of wildlife that share our private trails, and you may see deer, elk, pine marten, snowshoe hare, or even wolf and cougar tracks.
Our highly experienced outdoor leaders will ensure you have a safe and enjoyable excursion in this unique setting and help you create memories that will last forever.
